History
The history of Trans Ocean Pacific forwarding B.V. dates back to 1992 when Mr. Jean-Paul van Munster was requested by the TOP organization in Taiwan to set up an office in Rotterdam to handle their Asian import and export shipments. The company in Rotterdam served originally as branch office of the worldwide group of TOP offices. In 1994 the Taiwan head office closed its doors, but TOP Rotterdam was already privately owned by Jean-Paul van Munster, well connected internationally and no longer related to the mother company.
The firm continued trading as Trans Ocean Pacific forwarding B.V. and developed its competencies into the new millennium, pursuing a wide range of activities including project forwarding, NVOCC, consolidation and customs brokerage. Eventually in 2004 a new partner, Mr. Evert Braam, was appointed to control the continued growth of the company. Since July 2015 the stock listed company Singapore Post became shareholder. Both Jean-Paul van Munster and Evert Braam remain in the company at their current positions.
With the aim of becoming the best and most reliable service provider in the forwarding industry, TOP has come a long way since its modest beginnings and has since then established a worldwide network of strategic alliances covering Asia, the Middle East, Africa and North and South America. Historically, the emphasis lies on the Far East, where we have set up long-term relations with high-quality partners.
From its humble beginnings, TOP has now developed into a highly reputable international forwarder and NVOCC. Many multinationals as wells as mid and small size companies have contributed to this remarkable success, but the main factor is the dedication and expertise of loyal staff, all of whom are specialists in their respective fields.
At Trans Ocean Pacific forwarding B.V. you can be assured of the best in whatever we do because our customers come first.
